Hello and welcome to the Canadian Women in Politics Hall of Fame!
Over the years, women have made a great deal of progress in Canadian politics, and they have done much to improve the lives of their fellow citizens. At the same time, there is still much to be done, and it often seems that our society still has a long road to travel before we achieve the goal of parity in our legislatures.
The Hall of Fame was created to help celebrate the achievements of Canadian women in the field of politics, and to inspire a new generation of political activists. It is the desire of the founders that visitors will come to this site in search of information on those accomplished women who have been elected to office and who have served in various public roles, as well as those non-politicians whose advocacy have made it possible for women to vote, to run for office, and to win elections.
We hope you enjoy your visit, and will come again soon. We will be inducting new members every year, and would welcome any nominations you would like to make. The Hall of Fame is an initiative of the Equal Voice, National Capital Region Chapter. To learn more about Equal Voice, please click here.
